The company's TFT-LCD panels are also used in other products, including ordinary mobile phones and smartphones, tablets, industrial and other applications, including entertainment systems, automobiles, portable navigation devices and medical diagnostic equipment. The company currently operates 13 flat-panel manufacturers, including those in Paju and Gumi, South Korea. The company was incorporated in Korea as LG Soft, Ltd., on February 28, 1985.
