Tesla Revamps Model Y with Price Hike and Innovative Features, Introducing Longest Range Yet

Tesla has increased the price of its refreshed Model Y Long Range all-wheel-drive version by ¥10,000, bringing the new starting price to ¥313,500. Meanwhile, the rear-wheel-drive version remains unchanged, and Tesla has introduced a financing option with a 3-year zero interest and a 5-year low-interest payment plan, with monthly installments starting at ¥3,808.

The refreshed Model Y, which began delivery in China on February 26, has seen significant improvements in appearance, cabin comfort, and performance. Tesla's new iteration of the Model Y features numerous new and upgraded components, establishing it as the longest-range Model Y to date. It boasts an impressive 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 4.3 seconds and achieves a top driving range of 719 kilometers under the CLTC conditions, with an optimized energy consumption rate of 11.9 kWh/100 km.

The exterior design of the refreshed Model Y draws inspiration from Tesla’s Cybertruck and the upcoming autonomous vehicle designs, showcasing newly reimagined front and rear elements, including a globally pioneering diffuse reflection taillight. These changes offer the refreshed Model Y a distinctive and recognizable aesthetic.

Alongside these updates, the vehicle also ensures enhanced driving dynamics and energy efficiency. Innovations in the cabin include improved seating comfort due to newly adjusted suspension systems, an ambient lighting setup, and enlarged rear seating that offers increased storage capacity with a "one-click fold" feature. The inclusion of a silver-coated panoramic glass roof further augments thermal insulation and sun protection.
