Metis Unveils Hyperion: Revolutionizing AI on Blockchain

Metis, a leading blockchain infrastructure provider, is set to launch a new high-performance chain, Hyperion, specifically designed for artificial intelligence (AI) applications. The testnet for Hyperion is expected to go live before April this year, marking a significant milestone in the development of blockchain technology for AI.

The new chain, Metis Hyperion, is built on top of the Ethereum blockchain and ensures full compatibility while providing unparalleled security, seamless scalability, and enterprise-grade system reliability for AI applications. Its three key innovations – an optimized inference engine, accelerated hardware, and zero-knowledge proofs – enable AI models to run efficiently on blockchain infrastructure while maintaining high security.

The testnet for Metis Hyperion is scheduled to launch between February and April 2025, featuring high-performance sequencing nodes, initial developer tools, and framework testing capabilities. Following the successful completion of the testnet phase, the mainnet is expected to be delivered between May and August 2025, offering a high-throughput Layer 2 network and a complete developer kit in a production environment.

In the latter half of the year, between September and December, the Metis Hyperion mainnet will undergo upgrades to enhance its capabilities. These upgrades include real-time feedback, parallel execution, and enhanced AI model support, further solidifying its position as a leading blockchain infrastructure for AI applications.
