Liberty Star's Red Rock Canyon: Bonanza Grades Spark Exploration Frenzy

Liberty Star Minerals ("Liberty Star" or the "Company") (OTCMarkets: LBSR) has recently announced a summary of its 2024 channel sampling program conducted at its wholly owned Red Rock Canyon Gold Project (RRC) within its Hay Mountain Project in southeast Arizona. The project, which may possess commercially important metals associated with porphyry copper-gold-moly geologic structures, has yielded impressive results, including bonanza grades of 107.5 g/t and 60.0 g/t gold.
The most recent findings have extended known mineralization by another 100', along with numerous other gold-bearing structures. GIS mapwork by the company shows the main high-grade zone, along with parallel and related gold-bearing structures within the RRC Project area. Historical work in the area regarded these structures as feeder zones to areas of sedimentary strata-bound gold enrichment. While the current channel sampling program tests the top of the vertical mineralized structures, past drilling has proven the existence of flat lying zones of gold enrichment within the Colina and Earp formations on site.

Current sampling has not only extended the length of the known high-grade zone but also discovered 6 other lenses of jasperoids running at greater than 0.5 g/t Au over more than 2' widths. Chief Geologist Jim Bryce states, "The historical work done at RRC was predicated on the structures hosting the jasperoids as being the feeder structures to a larger gold deposit. I agree with that assessment as our program has proven, however, they didn’t conduct statistical sampling across the structures themselves. The historical reports show up to almost 6 g/t across 40 feet of bedding, and yes, tonnage is important, but we have multiple assays along the feeder structures in excess of one ounce per ton. At the end of the day, grade is King. In our case, we are lucky to have both styles of targets and future drilling will focus on not only defining the high-grade zone, but also the bulk tonnage potential surrounding it."
The presence of flat lying gold enrichment within the Colina and Earp formations influences the project's exploration strategy and future drilling plans. The discovery of both vertical and flat lying gold enrichment indicates the presence of two distinct target styles. Past drilling has proven the existence of flat lying zones of gold enrichment within these formations. To investigate the presence of flat lying gold enrichment, drilling will be required, as channel sampling of the jasperoid structures cannot provide this information.
The recent bonanza grades at the Red Rock Canyon Gold Project compare favorably to historical findings, reinforcing the Company’s expectation that the RRC may possess significant quantities of near surface high grade gold. The presence of bonanza grade gold on this first outing is exciting news, with over 30% of the lenses sampled so far reporting more than 1.5 g/t Au over their full widths, and those that don’t are still mineralized. The scattered high to bonanza grades encountered are correlating well with historical chip sampling on some of the lenses ranging from 14.9 g/t to 85.8 g/t. This indicates the presence of a broad, epithermal gold system within the RRC boundaries, which is almost certainly related to the suspected copper/gold porphyry system nearby in the Hay Mountain property.
In conclusion, Liberty Star's Red Rock Canyon Gold Project has demonstrated significant potential with the discovery of multiple lenses of jasperoids running at greater than 0.5 g/t Au over more than 2' widths and bonanza grades of 107.5 g/t and 60.0 g/t gold. The project's exploration strategy and future drilling plans will focus on defining the high-grade zone and the bulk tonnage potential surrounding it, as well as investigating the presence of flat lying gold enrichment. The recent findings align with historical results and indicate the presence of a broad, epithermal gold system within the RRC boundaries, further enhancing the project's potential.
